Ray Hotel

RAY HOTEL is an elegant highlight within the urban fabric. It embraces the surroundings by opening up its inside to the city. It’s simple, it’s logical, it’s fresh! The client seeked to transform the 2-star hotel to a 5-star hotel with a restaurant and a roodtop garden – a new landmark for the region.

The street garden is an extension of the lobby. It’s what makes the hotel integrated with the side walk and the city beyond.  The entry of the restaurant allows the guest to experience the effect of the concrete volume opening up to a high big space. By moving the entry to the side, the front patio remains uninterrupted and more unified in terms of its operation. It has tall roll up doors allowing for large openings to the outside patio.

There are two types of living areas. The lofts overlooking the city and the suites overlooking the Aegean sea. The roof bar at the top can be served either by the hotel elevator (with security), or by its own elevator that takes you directly to it from the lobby. It features an open-air bar operating during summer, dining areas, jacuzzi being used by guests, yoga corner above the concrete tower, looking over at the mountains. The basement hosts the two kitchen areas for the hotel and the restaurant and all the support spaces.
